Real World Workplace Charging

Workplace charging infrastructure and operation requires a wide range of considerations, including the appropriate charger type and equipment and operating cost. The operating cost of charging equipment is not always a straight forward analysis as an operator's energy cost may be impacted by utility demand charges. Richard will explore all of these considerations and provide strategies to help manage energy cost in workplace charging environments.
Richard Raustad is a Program Director and Research Engineer with the the University of Central Florida's Electric Vehicle Transportation Center (EVTC). He leads the EVTC technical team and researches opportunites for EVs in the residential and commercial building sectors. Richard has been on staff at UCF since 1987 and holds a BSEE from the University of Central Florida.
